Running Across Continents

In a celebration of global unity and unwavering support for underprivileged children, the Bi-Continental 5K Run/Walk invites participants to join forces against geographical barriers. This unique event not only challenges participants physically but also symbolizes the shared commitment to creating positive change.

On Saturday, October 14, at 11:00 AM, the event will kick off at Saint Anselm’s Episcopal Church, 4 Woodville Road, Shoreham, New York

What sets the Bi-Continental 5K Run/Walk apart is the opportunity to compete against runners and walkers on the other side of the world in Kenya. As you embark on your 5K journey, envision Kenyan participants doing the same, fostering a sense of connection that transcends miles.

While the physical challenge is a significant aspect of the event, its heart lies in supporting a noble cause. All proceeds from the suggested $30 donation to participate will directly benefit the Jerusha Mwiraria Hope Children’s Home in Meru, Kenya. By lacing up your sneakers, you're not only embarking on a personal journey but also contributing to brighter futures for children in need.

For those passionate about raising support, a remarkable opportunity awaits. Runners and walkers who can secure pledges amounting to $100 or more will have their registration fee waived, allowing them to participate for free. This unique incentive encourages participants to rally friends, family, and colleagues in their shared mission.

Acknowledging every participant's commitment and dedication, the Bi-Continental 5K Run/Walk promises a medal for each finisher. This symbolic token serves as a reminder of the steps taken toward change and the impact made on children's lives.

For those able to join in person, registration will take place between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM at the event location. If attending isn't feasible, fret not! You can still participate virtually by logging your 5K time any time before October 21, 2023. This inclusive option ensures that distance won't hinder your ability to make a difference.
