Initial NYS Training Requirements to become a security guard:

8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training- A general introductory course. You must complete this course and submit a copy of the certificate issued to you with your security guard application to the NYS Division of Licensing to become a licensed security guard.

All applicants selected to participate in the free training course must first go through a screening process with the Human Resources Department.  All applicants who are chosen, must then immediately apply to NYS to become a licensed security, and sign an agreement to work for Longwood Central School District for one year.

Seats and job vacancies are limited, sign up now!  All applicants must have an NYS driver’s license, and be at least 18 years old.
